Conflicts between humans and willdife, and between humans about wildlife, are very widespread across the globe and involve very many different species. In recognition of this, the IUCN has created a new task force specifically on human-wildlife conflicts which is intended to provide support to all other specialist groups and commissions within IUCN. The task force currently consists of a small group of members with expereince from Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia, with different discplinary backgrounds, and with experience from species as diverse as crocodiles to elephants. Although the groups work is just begining, their website already contains many key resources.
