New overview of the status of European large carnivores

New overview of the status of European large carnivores

Author: John Linnell/Friday, March 22, 2013/Categories: News

Members of the LCIE, together with other experts from across Europe, have just published a new set of reports that summarise the best available data on the status of wolves, brown bears, wolverines and Eurasian lynx across the continent. As well as data on population size, trends and distribution, the reports summarise what is known about management systems, conflicts, and threats to their conservation. The project was funded by the European Commission's DG Environment.

Part 1: Overview at the population level.

Part 2: Detailed country by country and species by species accounts.
